War of the Monsters is an under appreciated PS2 3D fighting game and is also available on the PS4. The game pits giant monsters against each other in a wide variety of arenas. The game features an excellent roster of 10 monsters most of which are inspired or references to classic horror/ monster/sci-fi films. Each monster also has 4 skins which are all highlighted in the video, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making the video.

I played the heck out of this game as a kid. It still hold a place in my heart. I absolutely love this game till this day. Nothing better then choosing big monsters of different varieties to fight with or against your friends.

I'd say that more gamera than godzilla.
I just watched godzilla vs kong and once again I wish for a game like this for current gen consoles. War of the Monsters 2!!!

Technically all monsters in this game have Mechanical skins except for Raptros
Zorgulon’s fourth skin really reminded me of Phantoon from Super Metroid but I can see Gezora in the design as well

Does anyone remember when you could make some maps crack in half if you destroy enough stuff on that map.
I feel like this game layed such a good foundation for a ever better sequel. If we got this more content and monsters along with each monster getting more unique and varied moves further diversifying them. I would cry tears of joy.

My favorite ones are Robo-47 and Ultra-V. Both of their skins are amazing.

Magmo was my favorite character in the game I played him all the time
I’m currently playing this now after not playing it for 16 years. Ultra V is my favourite
Raptors is probably a reference to king gidorah and his skeleton skin is probably a reference to the skeleton dragon in how to train your dragon
And magmo is probably a reference to 4 arms from Ben 10
So much nostalgia 👀
I'll always remember this game having all the skins and characters that you actually wanted to try out and play with them was one of the best things about it

Demon Togera reminds me of Diablo from the Diablo franchise.
You got agamo's finisher/special wrong. It's actually a detached head thats throwable and also an explosive. If you throw it and press the x and o button for special again it triggers a large scale explosion.
Game is all about fun and this game is legendary
Wish the controls weren't so skatey, cant get past the third mission with the boss you have to throw stuff at, it's so tedious lol
Although seen in the last shot, you could've mentioned the amphibious Kineticlops skins changes the eye for a brain. It's my favourite character by far

If a 2nd game would have been made every character should have fought differently. Make each moveset complex so there's a true sense of a tier list
Togera’s demon skin kinda reminds me of the character Diablo and Chaos from Final Fantasy while Magmo’s fourth skin reminds of Molten Man from Spider-Man.
